Description

Are you a part-time Finance Director looking to be a part of a brand focused on delivering meaningful social impact? We are partnering with a truly unique Hospitality business, led by two inspiring entrepreneurs. They're an early stage business, but showing promising signs of growth - delivering 50% growth in the last twelve months, across retail, wholesale and ecomm channels. In the next six months they plan to open six new sites, a new HQ, and a second social enterprise. This is a newly created role which forms part of the Senior Management team. You’ll work with the Directors and have overall responsibility for all financial activities of the Company. The mission is to maximise the long-term shareholder value of the company while minimising risk whilst also paying close attention to their social impact outcomes. It would suit an experienced finance professional who wants to leverage their technical expertise and management skill to lead a growing organisation into their next growth stage and beyond. In summary, we are looking for someone who has ‘done it all before’. This is a Part Time opportunity, two days a week (open to structuring the role across four mornings) | based on-site at their offices in Kings Cross, London The Role Overall responsibility building a best-in-class finance function and all financial activities of the company taking full accountability for proactively managing all aspects of the department Provide Finance and Accounting leadership in order to optimise the company’s financial performance and strategic position Identifying business improvement opportunities and successfully driving them through Provide financial expertise on strategic decisions and new business initiatives Leading financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting and long-term strategic plans Ultimate responsibility for the cash management and treasury activities and policies Overseeing the preparation of management accounts and reports Overseeing payroll, taxes, and compliance Raising debt and equity finance Manage external relationships with capital providers and oversee corporate financing: manage company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation and equity Modelling and providing well-reasoned advice on growth plans Legal and company secretarial duties About You ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified accountant operating at a Head of Finance/FD level Strong track record of leading finance departments at high-achieving growing companies Experience of brand-led, multi-site retail/hospitality in an omnichannel, entrepreneurial environment highly desirable Strong technical accounting, analytical and systems skills; financial reporting, internal controls, financial planning and analysis Exceptional financial modelling skills An ability to translate financial information into commercially-driven business ideas and practical advice Thriving in early-stage businesses and the ability to build excellent relationships with the team and other stakeholders Leadership, gravitas, energy, confidence and proactivity Rigorous attention to detail Enthusiasm for, and understanding of, our corporate social impact objectives including unquestionable integrity and a commitment to good governance On Offer The opportunity to impact people’s lives through our social mission Competitive salary and benefits 28 days holiday per annum (including public holidays) Free coffee and tea at all our cafes 50% staff discount on bags of coffee in our cafes and online Free gym membership Departmental dinners twice per year Company-wide socials every two months 1x Christmas and 1x Summer party 3 professional development days allowance per year SCA training opportunities Discretionary bonuses Cycle to work scheme Equality and diversity.
